Allison Transmission and Cummins partner on innovative natural gas engine project
The collaboration tests the Cummins X15N with Allison's 4000 Series, showing promising fuel efficiency and performance improvements
In a press release dated 24 July, Allison Transmission announced that it has partnered with Cummins for testing and validating the Cummins X15N 15-liter natural gas engine in conjunction with Allison's 4000 SeriesTM fully automatic transmission. Demonstrating the success of this partnership, Sandman, a bulk cement hauling fleet based in San Jose, California, reported outstanding results from over 50,000 miles of field testing.
