Mainland China’s move to approach the WTO comes after the US has failed to reach a solution despite multiple consultations with mainland Chinese officials

Mainland China has asked the World Trade Organization to establish an expert panel to resolve the long-standing dispute over the new-energy vehicle (NEV) subsidies and other measures mandated under the US Inflation Reduction Act (IRA), according to a news report published by Global Times on July 15.
