Partial automated driving systems do not improve vehicle safety, IIHS says
Research by the IIHS and Highway Loss Data Institute shows partial automation does not outperform existing crash avoidance features in enhancing vehicle safety
According to a press release on July 11, a study conducted by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) and the Highway Loss Data Institute has revealed that partially automated driving systems in vehicles do not significantly enhance safety beyond the common crash avoidance features.
