Ampere announces new battery strategy with focus on LFP and CTP technology
Ampere partners with LG Energy Solution and CATL to integrate LFP technology, aiming to make EVs more affordable and increase range by 2026
Ampere, the European EV company, has announced a comprehensive battery strategy focusing on integrating lithium iron phosphate (LFP) technology along with the existing nickel cobalt manganese (NCM) batteries used by the Renault Group. Ampere has collaborated with its suppliers LG Energy Solution (LGES) and CATL to establish an integrated value chain in Europe for LFP technology. These partnerships will support Ampere in equipping various models of Renault and Alpine brands with LFP batteries, securing battery needs up to 2030.
