Toyota in talks with authorities in Shanghai to locally produce Lexus EVs
Toyota is negotiating for similar tax breaks, policy support and land grants that Tesla got for setting up its Shanghai gigafactory
According to a news report published by CnEVPost on June 28, Japanese carmaker Toyota Motor Corporation is currently discussing with the relevant authorities in Shanghai the possibility of building a wholly owned electric vehicle factory to produce Lexus EVs.
