Mainland China grants approvals to nine automakers for public trials of automated driving vehicles

According to the MIIT, the approval for trials would pave the way for further commercialization of Level 3 automated driving technologies in mainland China

Mainland China has given approvals to a group of nine automakers, including BYD, Changan, GAC, Nio and SAIC to test their Level 3 automated driving technologies on public roads of the country, Reuters reported June 4.
