Svolt Energy halts building battery plant in Germany
Svolt’s move is similar to that of rival battery-maker CATL, which scrapped plans to expand its first battery-cell plant in the eastern German town of Arnstadt in December 2023
Chinese electric vehicle battery-makers are beginning to hold back their battery production plans in Germany as EV sales take a backseat in Europe’s largest automotive market, according to a news report published by Nikkei Asia on May 30.
