Great Wall Motors' Ora brand has announced a major software update for its Ora 03 model in the UK, the company said in a press release. The latest software update enables wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The update will be accessible to all existing and potential customers of all Ora 03 variants, including the previously named Ora Funky Cat. It can be acquired from the network of over 30 UK-based retailers at no cost to the consumer.
The newly released update will enable Ora 3 users to connect Apple CarPlay or Android Auto apps on their smartphone with the vehicle’s 10.25-inch infotainment screen. The screen provides a range of features including traffic-optimized navigation, calls and messages, voice assistance, music and third-party apps.
The update also allows the integration of features unique to GWM Ora, such as the 'Hello ORA' voice assistant, which can control vehicle functions such as climate control, window operation and radio. GWM Ora also plans to introduce over-the-air updates for enhanced flexibility in future software installations.
