EVgo announces its plan to incorporate North American Charging Standard (NACS) connectors to its charging network, aiming to cater both Combined Charging System and NACS vehicles

EVgo Inc., one of American's largest public fast- charging networks for electric vehicles, has announced plans to install North Americann Charging Standard (NACS) connectors on its fast-charging network later this year, which are currently being standardized as SAE J3400. The company will serve both Combined Charging System (CCS) and NACS vehicles at its stations, starting in markets with high NACS vehicle penetration to maximize charger use. EVgo's network usage rose from around 9% in first quarter 2023 to roughly 19% in the same period in 2024.
