Ford has proposed an engine control software update and installation of a drain

US auto-safety agency, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), said it has "significant safety concerns" over Ford Motor's recall of more than 42,000 sport utility vehicles (SUVs) over concerns that fuel leaks could lead to an engine fire, according to Reuters report on May 9.
