CATL may build battery plant with General Motors in North America through technology licensing
GM-CATL’s LFP battery plant could either come up in the US or in Mexico
Mainland China’s largest battery-maker Contemporary Amperex Technology Co. Ltd. (CATL) is in talks with US legacy carmaker General Motors (GM) to build a battery plant in North America, leveraging the technology licensing route similar to its partnership with Ford Motor Co., according to a news report published by CnEVPost on March 29.
