Lighting suppliers delivered strong financial performance in 2023
Several tier 1 lighting suppliers reported strong growth in sales and earnings driven by higher light-vehicle production during the year
The automotive industry recorded the highest growth in light-vehicle production in 2023 after the COVID-19 pandemic severely impacted production volume four years ago. According to S&P Global Mobility, the global light-vehicle production increased 9.4% year over year, crossing the 90-million-units mark in 2023. The strong growth in light-vehicle production helped automakers and suppliers to deliver robust financial performance in 2023.
