Valeo, a global leader in mobility technologies, has expanded its partnership with Google Cloud to develop new cloud-based generative AI tools and solutions. The collaboration aims to boost Valeo's process efficiency and productivity with dedicated use cases, leveraging Google Cloud's generative AI solutions.
Valeo will gain early access to Google Cloud's latest generative AI technologies and contribute to technological developments. The partnership will also enable Valeo to embed generative AI faster and more seamlessly into its software engineering processes. The expanded agreement builds upon an existing partnership between the two companies for infrastructure, data and collaboration.
Valeo and Google Cloud will work together to identify new use cases for generative AI across engineering, project management, knowledge management and industrial maintenance.
According to Geoffrey Bouquot, executive vice president of Strategy and chief technology officer at Valeo, generative AI has the potential to refine and upgrade every aspect of the automotive digital value chain, but only if it can absorb the standards, regulations, technical language and other contextual factors that each company faces.
He believes that the partnership with Google Cloud will play an essential role in making generative AI as relevant, secure and productive as possible to support Valeo's growth. Isabelle Fraine, managing director of Google Cloud in France, echoed this sentiment, stating that generative AI solutions tailored to specific companies' contexts offer immense potential to transform them at speed.
