Nissan plans to produce the electric variants of the popular SUV Qashqai, Juke and Leaf models at its Sunderland factory

Japanese automaker Nissan is phasing out the production of its second-generation, all-electric Leaf car at the Sunderland plant in the UK, as the company is beginning to prepare for the production of three new electric cars, including Leaf’s own replacement, according to a news report published by Sunderland Echo on Feb. 29.
