BorgWarner eyes big share of BEV thermal solutions market
Similar with other major tier 1 suppliers, BorgWarner is also keen to tap into the growing thermal management opportunities provided by rapid shift to BEVs.
In 2021, BorgWarner announced its Charging Forward 2027 strategy to aggressively grow its electrification product portfolio via numerous organic investments and acquisitions. As per its strategy, by 2025, the company aims to achieve 25% of total revenues from eProducts meant for battery-electric vehicles (BEVs). As per its 2022 annual report, the company has spent 53% of total research and development (R&D) investment in eProduct related projects.
