Stellantis signs MOU with CATL for supply of batteries in Europe
The two companies are also exploring the possibility of forming a JV company with equal contributions to further support the carmaker’s aggressive electrification strategy
Stellantis NV and CATL have signed a non-binding memorandum of understanding (MOU) for the local supply of lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery cells and modules to power Stellantis’ electric vehicle lineup in Europe, the two companies said in a joint announcement on Nov. 21.
