Japanese carmaker Toyota Motor Corp. plans to make an additional investment of nearly $8 billion at its upcoming battery manufacturing facility in the US — Toyota Battery Manufacturing North Carolina (TBMNC) — bringing its total investment at the site to about $13.9 billion, the company announced Oct. 31.
