CATL, Fraunhofer to expand cooperation on predicting EV battery lifetime
Since the cooperation began three years ago, CATL employees have conducted hundreds of tests and generated thousands of data points
Contemporary Amperex Technology GmbH (CATL), the German subsidiary of the leading Chinese battery-maker CATL, and the Fraunhofer Institute for Ceramic Technologies and Systems IKTS are jointly developing models that can predict the lifetime of batteries, according to a press note published by the institute on October 23.
