Valeo, along with its partners, has showcased the technological advances in harnessing the power of 5G for autonomous and connected mobility, according to Valeo's LinkedIn post on October 13. The presentation, a part of the 5G Open Road project, was conducted in Palaiseau, located close to Paris.
The advancements in 5G promise a transformative impact on vehicular technology. This includes enhancements in vehicle perception, dynamic geolocation capabilities, improved communication reliability, reduced latency and a fortified approach to cybersecurity.
Giving a tangible feel to these claims, Valeo demonstrated the potential real-world applications using their Drive4U autonomous vehicle and the eDeliver4U autonomous delivery droid. These prototypes serve as a testament to the revolutionary change 5G can bring to the automotive industry.
