To reduce the use of fossil raw material, Continental uses recovered carbon black in solid tires
The company aims to use 100% sustainable material in its tires by 2050
In an initiative toward sourcing more sustainable raw material, tire maker Continental added recovered carbon black (rCB) to its newly produced Super Elastic solid tires at its tire plant in Korbach, Germany, thus reducing the use of fossil raw materials and CO2 emissions.
