Hankook Tire starts partial production at fire-damaged Daejeon plant in South Korea
Plant 1 is operational while Plant 2 remains non-operational
After a massive fire in March 2023, at Korean Tyre maker Hankook Tire & Technology's tire factory in Daejeon, the company has announced the partial resumption of its production operations. As of 1 September 2023, tire production has been restarted at the site's Plant 1 facility, according to a disclosure made to the Korea Exchange (KRX), a report in Tyre News reported on September 11.
