"Solid-state is a term used by many lidar companies today, but we do not believe considering lidar sensors utilizing micro-electromechanical systems (MEMS) (or any other kind of) mirrors as solid-state" – Lumotive

Lumotive's optical semiconductor solutions enable advanced sensing and perception capabilities in next-generation consumer, mobility and industrial automation products, such as mobile devices, autonomous vehicles and robots. On July 27, Lumotive announced that it has entered a commercial agreement with camera-module specialist Namuga, which will leverage Lumotive's Light Control Metasurface (LCM) chipsets to develop solid-state lidar module solutions for a range of 3D-sensing applications in automotive and other markets. To learn more about the development, we interviewed Kevin Camera, Ph.D., vice president of Product at Lumotive.
