A $2 billion deposit to Wolfspeed secures supply agreement for both 150 mm and 200 mm SiC wafers and supports Wolfspeed’s US capacity expansion plans
Renesas Electronics and Wolfspeed have announced the execution of a wafer supply agreement and $2 billion deposit by Renesas to secure a 10-year supply commitment of Silicon Carbide (SiC) bare and epitaxial wafers from Wolfspeed, according to a press release July 5.
