Volume forecasting and inventory management have become very critical for managing chip supply, says Vanderhaeghen.
Lumileds, one of the key suppliers of integrated LED solutions and modules for automotive applications, expects the adoption of LED-based lighting to grow in all lighting systems in a vehicle — such as headlights, taillights, ambient lighting and daytime running lights — in addition to many new applications, including grill and logo illumination.
