Strong policies push North America and Europe up in the Li-ion battery value chain
Between 2022 and 2028, installed cell production capacity in Europe will increase at a healthy 38% compound annual growth rate (CAGR), whereas North America’s cell production capacity will climb at an even faster 52% CAGR
Greater China is going to see some strong competition in lithium-ion (Li-ion) battery cell manufacturing space, thanks to new localization mandates being introduced in regions, such as Europe and North America, which is attracting a lot of interest from cell makers for setting up new cell production plants.
