US DOE to fund over $192 million for battery-recycling technology
Funding is in line with the government’s goal of EVs making up half of all vehicle sales in the country by 2030
The US Energy Department (DOE) has announced a new funding of more than $192 million for recycling batteries from consumer products, and launching an advanced battery research and development (R&D) consortium, in a press release dated June 12.
