The company says the roll out of a sustainable-steel supply chain initiative in Europe will serve as a plan for other regions

In a significant step toward sustainable manufacturing and achieving a reduction in greenhouse emissions, German luxury-car maker Mercedes-Benz is aiming to use more than 200,000 metric tons of CO2-reduced steel from European suppliers in its press shops annually, the company announced June 13.
