Volkswagen restructures production operations in China to expand capacity for EVs
The operational transition is not expected to impact the production capacities for individual models currently produced in China by the VW-SAIC JV
Europe’s largest carmaker Volkswagen’s Chinese joint venture with SAIC Motor is restructuring operations at one of its manufacturing plants in Shanghai to expand capacity for production, research and development (R&D) of electric vehicles, a Reuters news report said June 6, citing a statement from VW.
