Heads-up display (HUD) is a projection technology or a virtual transparent display of information that has its origins in military aviation but has been inside cars for a while now. HUDs first went into automotive production with General Motors (GM) back in 1988 as a highly niche product and remained nascent until demand began increasing in recent years.
