BASF, Eramet team up to process nickel for EV batteries
The planned new plant in Indonesia is expected to start production in early 2026, with an output capacity of up to 67,000 metric tons of nickel and around 7,000 metric tons of cobalt per year contained in MHP
Germany's BASF and French mining company Eramet plan to sign a USD 2.6 billion partnership deal to jointly invest in a nickel processing plant in Indonesia, according to a news report published by the news agency Reuters on 18 January 2023.
