CATL’s German plant begins serial production of lithium-ion battery cells
CATL had received the permit for battery cell production from the state of Thuringia earlier in April 2022
China’s largest battery maker Contemporary Amperex Technology Co., Limited. (CATL)’s German arm Contemporary Amperex Technology Thuringia GmbH (CATT) has commenced serial production of lithium-ion battery cells in December as scheduled, marking a major milestone in CATL's global expansion strategy, CATL said on 21 December 2022.
