BYD plans to build 20 GWh battery production facility in Zhejiang, China
The first battery production line is expected to start operations in 2024
Continuing to expand its battery production capacity in China, BYD plans to build a new power battery manufacturing facility in Wenzhou, Zhejiang province, in eastern China, according to a news report published by CNEVPOST on 24 November 2022. It added that the Wenzhou city government and BYD held an online signing ceremony on 23 November. The event was attended by BYD chairman and president Wang Chuanfu and local officials.
