Waymo secures permit to charge for driverless services in San Francisco

Waymo can charge for the use of its autonomous vehicles without a safety driver for services like food and grocery delivery

The California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) approved an amendment to Waymo’s existing deployment permit Wednesday to include driverless, as well as drivered, operations, according to a report published by TechCrunch on 7 November 2022.
