Renault, Geely to set up a JV company focused on gasoline engines, hybrid technologies
The Renault – Geely JV is expected to supply propulsion systems to multiple customers, including Renault, Dacia, Geely Auto, Volvo Cars, Lynk & Co, Proton, and also Nissan and Mitsubishi Motors Company
French carmaker Renault, China’s Geely Holding Group and Geely Automobile Holdings Ltd have signed a nonbinding framework agreement to set up a new joint venture company focused on developing, manufacturing and suppling best-in-class hybrid powertrains and highly efficient internal combustion engine (ICE) powertrains, according to a media announcement by Renault on 8 November 2022.
