Toyota to replace smart key with mechanical key due to semiconductor shortage

Toyota Motor Corp is set to replace one of the two electronic smart keys for the Japanese market with a mechanical one, as the semiconductor shortage continues to impact the automotive industry, Reuters reported on 27 October.
