Evonik, Pörner, and Phichit Bio Power to supply sustainable silica to tire manufacturers
Commercial availability of biobased silica will help manufacturers of fuel-efficient tires to reduce the carbon footprint of their products
German specialty chemicals company Evonik announced via press release on 28 September that it would be partnering with Austrian process engineering company Pörner Group and Thai energy company Phichit Bio Power Co., Ltd. to develop and supply biobased precipitated silica to the tire industry.
