SiC wafers produced at the site will be supplied to Wolfspeed’s Mohawk Valley semiconductor fabrication facility in NY

US semiconductor manufacturer Wolfspeed announced via press release on 9 September that it will be setting up a new state-of-the-art silicon carbide (SiC) manufacturing plant in Chatham County, close to its existing materials plant in Durham, North Carolina.
