Sensors and computation processors would cut power consumption and extend the driving range

According to a report published by Reuters on 13 September 2022, General Motors’ self-driving car arm Cruise is developing its own microprocessors in an effort to steer away from third-party chip companies. The company aims to bring down costs and scale up volume.
