CATL’s planned battery plant in Debrecen, Hungary is located in close proximity to some plants of its customers such as Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Stellantis, and Volkswagen

China’s largest battery manufacturer Contemporary Amperex Technology Company Limited (CATL) plans to invest about EUR7.34 billion (about USD7.5 billion) in setting up a 100-GWh battery plant in Debrecen, east Hungary, the company announced on 12 August 2022.
