CATL looks to delay its decision on setting up planned battery plant in North America after US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi visited Taiwan
China’s largest EV battery maker Contemporary Amperex Technology Company Limited (CATL) will move forward with its plans of setting up a battery manufacturing plant in North America by 2026 and deliver lower-cost lithium iron phosphate (LFP-based) cell-to-pack or CTP batteries to the US automaker Ford Motor Company, a Reuters report published on 3 August 2022 said, citing a person aware of the matter.
