US House of Representative passes USD280 billion semiconductor industry bill

The bill was approved by the Senate by a vote of 64–33

The US House of Representatives has passed the USD280 billion semiconductor industry bill Chips and Science Act, according to a report published by The Washington Post on 28 July 2022. The bill would subsidize billions in science and technology research, as well as billions in domestic semiconductor production in an effort to boost American competitiveness.
