Ford claims to have secured 100% of annual battery cell capacity it needs to achieve a production run rate of 60,000 EVs by end 2023

Michigan-based automaker Ford Motor Company has signed a nonbinding MoU with the world’s largest battery maker, China-based Contemporary Amperex Technology Company Ltd. (CATL) to explore a cooperation for sourcing electric vehicle (EV) batteries across the European, North American, and Chinese markets, Ford announced on 21 July 2022.
