VW will also stop offering the Proactive Occupant Protection safety feature

According to a report published by CarExpert on 21 June 2022, Volkswagen Australia has planned to remove blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert safety features from a range of Volkswagen models due to global semiconductor chip shortages. They’ll also be given the option to wait until vehicles start arriving with the missing kit.
