Voestalpine to produce green steel at Linz and Donawitz plants from 2027
The steelmaker plans to reduce emissions at the two sites by 30% by switching blast furnaces with electric arc furnaces
Austrian steel company Voestalpine announced via its full year 2021/22 financial results press release on 8 June that it planned to produce low-emission ‘greentec’ steel at its Linz and Donawitz sites from 2027.
