A new economic development program to improve the country’s self-sufficiency in core technologies

Shenzhen, China's southern tech city, intends to double the value of its existing semiconductor industry in three years as part of a larger effort to boost the country's fundamental technology self-sufficiency, according to a report published by South China Morning Post on 2 June 2022.
