Russia imposes export restrictions on noble gases used in making chips
The curbs could worsen the supply crunch in the global chips market
According to a report published by Reuters on 2 June 2022, Russia’s trade ministry has prohibited shipments of noble gases such as neon, a critical element in chip manufacturing, until the end of 2022 to enhance its market position.
