Millimeter-wave radar is used in the Cabin Awareness concept to identify humans and pets within the car cabin

Toyota Connected North America (TCNA) has unveiled its Cabin Awareness concept technology, which employs millimeter-wave, high-resolution 4D imaging radar to identify passengers (even some pets) in vehicles and has the capability of detecting them if they are ever left behind, according to a press release on 31 May 2022.
