China’s largest battery maker CATL to supply cylindrical cells to BMW from 2025
CATL recently began manufacturing 4680 Li-ion batteries, which are made up of cylindrical cells with 46 mm in diameter and 80 mm in length
China’s CATL or Contemporary Amperex Technology Company Limited plans to begin supplying cylindrical cells to the German luxury carmaker BMW from 2025 for its future EV range, according to a Reuters report on 28 May 2022, which cited the battery maker.
