Gotion Hi-Tech, JEMSE to extract and refine lithium in northwest Argentina

Lithium extracted from the region is expected to be used to produce LFP cells by the Chinese battery manufacturer.

Chinese lithium-ion battery manufacturer Guoxuan (Gotion) High-Tech announced via stock exchange release on 10 May that it had signed an MoU with Argentinian state-owned mining company Jujuy Energía y Minería Sociedad del Estado (JEMSE) to set up a lithium supply chain in the Jujuy Province.
