CATL estimates that the mining site has deposits of about 2.65 million tons of lithium metal oxide

China’s largest battery maker CATL’s subsidiary Yichun Times New Energy Mining Company Ltd. has acquired the mining rights of ceramic soil including lithium in Zhenkouli-Fengxin County Jianxiawo Mining Area, Yifeng County, Jiangxi Province at a price of CNY865 million (over USD133 million), CATL said in an official statement on 21 April 2022.
